For as long as I can remember, Ann has been talking about her longing to visit this site. The night before our scheduled visit to the Palaces of the Alhambra, I could tell that she was not sleeping well. The Nazaries Palaces of the Alhambra require time specific tickets and this probably contributed to her sleeping issues. I made sure to set my alarm and we were awake, having breakfast, before anyone with even an once of Spanish blood would have dared get out of bed. We left the hotel at 9:30 am to walk the steep climb up to the palaces and there was barely another soul on the streets. But why would there be when these people don't go to bed before midnight?

Pomegranate which is called Granada in Spanish
The curved hedge and Sierra Nevada mountain range are not given proper justice in my photos. It was breathtaking.
